Chasing the Ghost by Ashley Lauren Rogers had its first fully staged performance at The Forge Theater Lab in Fitchburg, MA from December 7-14, 2019. The production was directed Samantha deManbey. Lighting design by Phillip T. Smith.

ASHLEY LAUREN ROGERS is an award-winning writer and trans rights activist. She is a current writing fellow of the Trans Theatre Lab, and is the Literary Director for Step1 Theatre Project. Ashley was previously the artist in residence at Middlesex County Vocational Technical School in East Brunswick, NJ. Her work has been performed at Dixon Place, MITF, the Brick, and Joe’s Pub. Her short play “Becky’s Christmas Wish” was a finalist for the City Theatre National Short Play Award, in Miami, and her work has been produced in Wisconsin, Cincinnati, New Jersey, Detroit, and Minneapolis. Ashley was featured on Fusion TV’s Peabody Award-nominated Sex.Right.Now and panels for Revry.TV. She has written for Cosmopolitan and The Mary Sue, and is the creator of the Is It Transphobic Podcast and the upcoming Right to Play playwriting podcast with her friend Gina Femia. Ashley's short play "A Lap Dance for the Invisible Man" was featured in The Forge's kickoff event Generations. She graduated from Fitchburg State University in 2006.
